A proper doctor's visit, at your own front door
Dr Bakshi Clinic arranges doctor home visits across Bhopal for patients who cannot travel — the elderly, the bedridden, and those recovering from surgery or serious illness. Dr. Raja Bakshi, MD (General Medicine), examines the patient at home, sets the treatment plan, and the clinic's nursing team carries it out.

Who home visits are really for
Some patients simply cannot be brought to a clinic without making things worse. A father with severe arthritis for whom the car journey is the day's biggest pain. A mother recovering from a hip fracture. A bedridden patient for whom every transfer risks a fall or a pressure sore. An anxious elder who refuses hospitals outright but will happily talk to a doctor across the dining table.
For these families, the choice is usually between no doctor and a home visit. We exist so that it never has to be no doctor.
Severe Arthritis & Mobility Pain
A parent for whom getting into a car and walking from parking is the day's biggest physical struggle.
Post-Surgery & Fracture Recovery
Patients recovering from hip surgery, spine procedures, or joint replacement where movement is restricted.
Bedridden & Pressure Sore Risk
Patients for whom hospital transfers carry risks of falls, catheter displacement, or skin tears.
Hospital-Anxious Elders
An anxious elder who resists stressful hospital environments but comfortably discusses symptoms at home.

What happens during the visit
The same medicine that happens in the clinic, moved to your home. History taken properly, from the patient and from the family members who watch them daily — often the more accurate source. Full examination: blood pressure, chest, abdomen, wounds and pressure points if the patient is bedridden. Old prescriptions and reports read on the spot.
You end the visit with a written plan: diagnosis or working impression, medicines with timings, what the family should watch for, and whether the case needs tests, nursing support or a hospital. If blood tests are needed, home sample collection is arranged so nobody travels for a syringe.
After the visit — the part most services skip
A one-off visit is rarely the whole answer. Where the case calls for it, the clinic layers in the rest: a nurse for daily injections or dressings, a physiotherapist for mobility, equipment such as a hospital bed or oxygen concentrator, and scheduled review visits so the plan is corrected as the patient changes. Everything sits in one file, under one doctor. When you call next month, we know the case.
Timing, coverage and honest limits
Home visits are scheduled around clinic OPD hours and cover localities across Bhopal — M.P. Nagar, Arera Colony, Kolar Road, Hoshangabad Road and beyond.
Genuine emergencies — chest pain, breathlessness at rest, sudden weakness of one side, heavy bleeding — need a hospital, not a home visit, and if your description sounds like one we will tell you to call an ambulance first. We would rather lose a booking than waste your golden hour.
